Leelanau County MARSP Officers

The Leelanau County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) is one of 80 chapters in the state. There are also out-of-state MARSP chapters, located in Arizona, Colorado, and Florida, By joining MARSP, chapter members support the organization’s mission to preserve, protect and enhance benefits and provide societal support that creates a dignified retirement for current and future public school retirees.

WHO ARE WE?


      *We are public school retirees.


      *We are teachers, bus drivers, food service workers, custodians, administrators, secretaries, librarians, teacher aides, counselors, and spouses of retired school personnel.


      *We are members, spouses, and beneficiaries of the MPSERS (Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System).


OUR PURPOSE:


      *Promote the preservation and enhancement of current levels of pension income through legislation, oversight of MPSERS, and individual guidance to members.


      *Promote the preservation and enhancement of health care benefits along with timely assistance and information about members insurance.


      *Advocate for quality public education in a non-partisan manner making it possible for all retirees to be involved regardless of political leanings.
